What to expect in a class?

Introductory classes begin with short preparatory prayers, and a simple guided meditation exercise to reduce stress, tension, and distractions.

This short meditation is followed by a short talk on how to apply Buddhist principles into daily life. This may include topics such as improving relationships, gaining peace of mind, learning to love, and dealing with anger.

Then there is a second short guided meditation designed to help us gain deeper experience of the subject of the class.

The class then breaks for snacks & refreshments while relaxing or discussing the ideas presented in the teaching with other participants. This gives you the opportunity to share your own experiences and discuss with other people who have the same wish to improve their lives.

What do I need to do to attend?

You do not need any previous experience to attend these classes. Also, you do not need to pre-register. Simply find a location and come to the class!

Why not come along and see for yourself what meditation can do for you? Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or beliefs. You will be joining people from all walks of life. Dress comfortably. People sit on regular chairs or on cushions on the floor, depending on their preference
