A Summers Day for Everybody

The Black Country Summer Fayre 2008 was held in Mary MacArthur Gardens, Cradley Heath. A fitting location for the first of what appears will become a happy annual event within the local area.

With the timely, dramatic backdrop of the demolition of Cradley Print - a 150 yr old industrial enterprise which has dominated the towns landscape – the Summer Fayre marked the beginning of a new era for the town.

Many people from all walks of life gathered & enjoyed the day including Sylvia Heath MP for Halesowen South. Local police on mountain bikes passed by and enjoyed the peaceful ambience of the event.

The fayre provided an opportunity for Jangchub Ling Buddhist Centre to open its doors to the wider community – the registered charity which has been established in the local area for almost 4 years revealed to the general public its kindness, hospitality and dedication to public service.
